Understanding the Spaced Repetition System
Spaced Repetition (SRS) helps you remember information long-term by reviewing flashcards at increasing time intervals. The better you know a card, the less often you need to review it.
Your memory strengthens when you review information at gradually increasing intervals. Each successful review pushes the knowledge deeper into long-term memory, so you don't need to repeat it as often.
• After today's successful review, the next review appears after the number of days in the next interval.
• The intervals do not add up.
• Each interval is counted from the moment you last reviewed the card correctly.
You learn a new flashcard.
The first review appears after 1 day.
If you answer correctly, the next review appears after 3 days.
Then after 7 days.
Then after 14 days.
Then after 30 days, and so on.
If you answer incorrectly, the interval may shorten to help you reinforce the material.

Early learning stage (1–2 reviews)
Well remembered (3–4 reviews)
Long-term memory (5+ reviews)
Learn a flashcard → Review it → The system automatically schedules the next review. Each successful review increases the interval, helping you build strong, long-lasting memory.
